Sorry I have not posted anything in awhile. I have been completely engulfed in trying to help my clients in my current 6 Week Contest see the absolute best results that they can in those 6 weeks.
I mean I have really been putting my all into helping them and pushing them to their limits. We are just now halfway through the 3rd week and let me tell you, some of them have already lost massive amounts of weight. I made everyone set some pretty hefty goals in the beginning, I mean some goals that they were really going to have to put their all into. I wanted to really push them and see what I could get out of them. Some of them are already at their 6 week goals, it is AMAZING!I still am not sure if it is me pushing them or the cash prizes that has them pulling these huge numbers. I have offered up a grand prize of $250 for the biggest body transformation and I am giving anyone that can lose 20 lbs $100. I have never seen such drive from clients. Being that I have 21 people in this contest I could be out some serious cash. Best money I will have ever spent though.
Now I don't want to give false information and make it seem like every single one of them are seeing the results that they should be. This is actually where I need your help to help me understand why not.
You see it always seems like right around this time into the contest (2-3 weeks) I see a huge division, those that are seeing incredible results and a few that are not seeing much at all and don't really seem like they care to. I have ran many transformation contests in my career and this is the part that REALLY gets to me.
You see, this time I tried something different to see if I would see different results from clients. I offered up meal plans, extra 1-on-1 training, and unlimited email and phone support all for free to see if that would help people to stay on track, stay motivated, and get the results they are after. Do some people like to just say that they work out? Do some like to say that they work with a trainer? Why wouldn't they all take advantage of all the help that I am extending to them? I am starting to believe that to some people failure is a safe place for them and that is what they are comfortable with. We have an extremely motivational and supportive team all the way through from the trainers to the other participants of the contest. So I know it is not for a lack of outside motivation. I guess it just comes down to the fact that I can't want it for them more than they do. It is awfully frustrating though. I know it is not easy but it is so worth it in the end. Please leave me a comment if you can provide any insight to me on this. I know I can't help everyone but it really bothers me that some let their negative thinking hold them back from their full potential. Also, if you would like to participate in the next 6 Week Body Transformation that will be starting in September and you are truly determined to see a difference let me know and I will make sure you get all the details.

Well said, my friend. I am definitely feeling the "half way" crunch and know that there is a turning point...remember last week when I asked you to help me stay focused? By no means do I WANT to fail...however, the momentum is hard, the commitment is demanding, and the fatigued muscles talk back to me. I want to give more than 100 percent for the rest of this contest, and although I do not imagine I can win the whole thing, I know I can be a winner in my mind. And as you well know, I have never done anything like this before. I do hear the old voices every now and again telling me that I "can't" do this, and I choose to ignore them...and focus on your voice that says, "I can."
ReplyDeleteI don't know that any of your clients want to fail...however, being that you are so fit and so "in shape," keep in mind that many of us are battling demons that can hold us back. Unintentionally, of course.
Thank you for allowing this process to also attack the mental blocks...perhaps some of the fear can fall off like the inches!
Good night, my friend!
Well said Natalie! :)
ReplyDeleteStrugling more this time than last time. The workouts are good. The nutrition has slipped a bit. I'm trying to get back on track. Wish I could take you up on some one on one training but it is hard ot get away during the day. Maybe before this round is over we can hit the gym together.
ReplyDeleteHang in there Loren....you are looking great! By the way, your tshirts are getting baggy!
ReplyDeleteNatalie
Natalie...You are extremely focused and I won't let you lose that focus. I didn't say that they want to fail, I just feel that they accept failure too easy. If failure is not an option then it is impossible to fail.
ReplyDeleteLoren...I am here for you for whatever you need. We definitely will make time for some gym time and let me know what areas you are struggling with when it comes to your nutrition and I will help you through it.
It is a lifestyle change that takes time. Just stick with it, you two are doing AMAZING things!!
You are very kind...I understand what you are saying...and yes, failure is not an option! This is too much fun...failure can't be fun! It must be a great feeling to know you are helping so many people. I remember the personal goal you posted several weeks ago...and it looks like you are well on your way!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, your words are very encouraging..and they make one think...by no means are you misunderstood. You know how to hit the nail on the head..and that is what we all need. Keep it coming!
